So to continue, there is simply too much money in politics and it cost too much to run for and have any realistic change of getting elected – especially when running for a Congressional, Senatorial or Presidential position. The only way to get back to achieving a system where Public Servants ( my suggested new name for politicians), are working for our interests, is to make us the ones that provide them the money to run for office and to dramatically, drastically LOWER the amount which can be spent on any election, by tying that in with what the population of any given State could conceivably raise for the candidate they want to represent them. This coupled with a limit on how much any given person, group, organization or business can donate to any candidate would achieve this – for the good of the country and the owners of this country – American citizens. UNTIL we institute some version of what I have stated here – special interests will continue to control our Public Servants and they will NOT be working for us!
